Evesham sits in a loop of the Avon and parts of the town flood badly when the river rises, so drainage is not an afterthought on a driveway here. Near the river the ground is lower and wetter, a soakaway will not always work, and the fall and the outlet for the water are designed at the survey and itemised. On the higher ground around the estates at Fairfield and off the Cheltenham and Worcester roads the picture is more conventional, but we still look at where the water goes before we price anything.
